…… As CP warns criminals that Delta State will be too hot for them
The Ekpan Police Station under the Delta State Police Command on Thursday, 19th December 2023 at about 1600hrs, led by the DPO, CSP Aliyu Shaba upon gathering credible intelligence about the activities of some criminal elements operating within Ekpan, Warri, and environs swiftly responded to this intel and trailed the hoodlums to their hideout behind NIGER-CAT.
A statement on Wednesday, 20th December 2023 signed by the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP. Edafe Bright said that upon sighting the Police, the hoodlums took to their heels, and they were given a hot chase to no avail.
“An intensive search was conducted around the uncompleted building, a certain sack was found and upon search of the sack bag, the following Exhibits were recovered: one (1) AR rifle, two (2) magazines, seventy-five (75) rounds of 7.62mm ammunition; one (1) locally made cut-to-size gun, four (4) rounds of live cartridges; one Awka-made beretta pistol; one round of 9mm ammunition.
He said that efforts are on top gear to identify and arrest the fleeing suspects.
Meanwhile, CP Wale Abass has reiterated the Command’s commitment and determination to track down all persons involved in crime-related activities and also sends a strong warning to criminals noting that the State will be too hot for them.
