During the most recent POWA Annual Convention, which was held in December 2024 at the POWA National Secretariat, Mambila Barracks, Abuja, Dr. Mrs. Elizabeth Egbetokun, President of the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA), stressed the critical importance of goodwill, unity, and growth within the country.
According to a press release on Friday, 20th December 2024 signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the convention, which spanned 3 days, from the 5th to the 7th of December, served as an avenue for the empowerment of scores of women and children of police families. During the conference, the POWA President highlighted the commitment to empowering not only the wives of police officers but also the broader populace through valuable skills training and acquisition programs, reminiscing on the success of the POWA 60th anniversary, which saw the graduation of 110 participants from the POWA Skills Acquisition Centre, Dei-Dei, Abuja.
