… Urges Unity and Peaceful Coexistence
The Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), DIG Hashimu Argungu (rtd), has extended warm greetings to the Muslim Ummah, staff of the Commission, officers of the Nigeria Police Force, and all Nigerians on the occasion of Eid-ul-Mawlid, the commemoration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
In his goodwill message, Argungu described the celebration as a reminder of the Prophet’s exemplary life of humility, compassion, justice, and service to humanity. He noted that the Prophet’s teachings continue to inspire values of peace, tolerance, and mutual respect, principles that he said are greatly needed in Nigeria today.
He called on Nigerians to reflect on these timeless lessons and imbibe them in their daily lives. He further urged staff of the Commission and police officers to use the occasion to strengthen their commitment to selfless service, integrity, and dedication to the protection of lives and property.
“As a people, let us use this celebration to foster unity, promote peaceful coexistence, and renew our faith in building a safer and stronger Nigeria,” the PSC Chairman stated.
He wished all Muslims and Nigerians a blessed and peaceful Eid-ul-Mawlid.
