PSC Chairman Highlights Importance Of Informed Policies And Clear Communication In Effective Policing

The Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), DIG Hashimu Argungu (retd.), mni, has emphasized that effective policing relies not only on operational capacity but also on informed policies, coherent communication, and disciplined management decisions.

According to a press release on Wednesday, 19th November 2025, signef by the PSC Head, Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani, Argungu made the remark during the public presentation of the book *“Articles on Policy Dissemination: Navigating the Management Decision on Issues”* authored by Bolaji Kazeem, Deputy Director of Public Relations at the Ministry of Police Affairs. He was represented at the event by the Commission’s Head of Press and Public Relations, Mr. Ikechukwu Ani.

Commending the author, Argungu said the publication comes at a time when clarity in policy communication and sound decision-making remain crucial to strengthening public institutions. He described the book as a thoughtful contribution to ongoing national discussions on reforms, accountability, and administrative professionalism.

According to him, the work offers valuable insights that will enrich practitioners’ knowledge, guide managers through complex organizational challenges, and enhance policy literacy within the public sector. He noted that such intellectual contributions reinforce efforts to build a more responsive, transparent, and citizen-focused policing system.
