A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and erstwhile National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New People’s Democratic Party (nPDP), Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze says salvaging Rivers State from the multi-sectoral wreckage it currently suffers under the Wike/PDP administration is a task most solemn before every responsible citizen of Rivers State.
In a statement made available to media houses in Port Harcourt, Eze informed Rivers electorates that the contest for the Governorship of the State is an obvious struggle for her soul and is clearly between light (Rivers people represented by the APC) and darkness (Wike’s faction of PDP) and called on the people to place the larger interest of the state beyond self and parochial concerns in their choice of who governs them for the next four we years, stressing that the caliber of person who emerges as Governor in the guber polls rescheduled for March 18 will determine whether the state is headed for perpetual doom or liberation from the evil grip.
The party Chief warned the people never to consider settling for the continuation of the biggest evil of the century perpetrated by Wike in collaboration with some selfish few who have crowned themselves reformers in their various domains even when they have only reformed their pockets, but go for liberation from satanic stronghold for the good of all by casting their ballots for APC’s Tonye Cole and as well as the House Assembly Candidates of the party for serious legislative business.
Eze emphasized that Rivers people must not make the mistake of attempting to return Wike for a third term through a mentally dull protege, Siminialayi Fubara, whose record of criminal conspiracies in the biggest financial crimes in the history of Rivers State remains glaringly scary and unbeaten and has placed him as the most sought-after bride of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Nigeria.
Amidst several financial heists involving countless billions of public funds, Siminialayi Fubara criminally conspired with a ‘Deposit Money Bank’ to withdraw hundreds of billions of Rivers money over the counter on the orders of Gov. Wike, for their private use, an act which contravene extant laws guiding finance and financial transactions in Nigeria.
He said the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) is also on the hunt for the Rivers PDP’s guber candidate for offenses bothering on false assets declaration which necessitated several invitations extended to him in the recent past to offer explanations for clarity but all of which he turned down on the orders of Gov. Wike whose penchant for disobeying legitimately made laws is such with blatant impunity.
Eze said Rivers people can not afford to consolidate poverty, thievery, joblessness, infrastructural decay, zero healthcare, poor standard of education, stagnation of civil servants, perpetual withholding of pensions and gratuities from senior citizens who spent their entire life making sacrifices for the state in different capacities.
He called on the people of the state to redouble their support for Pst. Tonye Cole, Governorship Candidate of the APC, and other torch-bearers of the party to turn the fortunes of the state, ignite economic prosperity, create jobs, improve the standard of education, build quality healthcare system, boost revenue, and improve livelihoods of people.
Chief Eze said Tonye Cole is prepared and adequately stocked with the necessary leadership ingredients needed to expand investments in capital areas and transform the state through pro-people policies and programs and should be voted to place the state on the global map of prosperity.
