Police have pledged to prevent the nation’s youth from engaging in unlawful same-sex acts.
As you may remember, Nigerians are disturbed by the renewed use of same-sex relationships by young people.
The prevalence of same-sex relationships is rising nationwide, but it is particularly concerning in the South. This is very disturbing to have a bisexual young female confusing men with no disparities in what to choose for marriage.
Reports of a young woman and boys committing this crime have surfaced.
Temitope Felicia Afikuyomi is a prime example; she was allegedly caught in a same-sex act at her birthday party. She hosted a series of her friends of the same act and was arrested, along with her other colleagues who are currently at large in Lagos, Ibadan, and Kebbi state after receiving a tip about their whereabouts.
Following her interrogation and confession at the police station, Temitope Felicia Afikuyomi was arrested for the crime of homosexuality; however, it was alleged that she had escaped bail through 2 sureties.
As of the time of posting this report, the police have reported that their attempts to re-arrest her had failed on many occasions; visiting her address and letters of invitation have been sent.
In a similar development, Precious Erharuyi, who had been exÂpelled from a university in 2012 for engaging in acts related to lesbianism, was in 2020 arrested at a rendezvous in Benin City by the police along with other female accomplices for engaging in bisexuality.
Another lady, Chioma Joy Owie, was also arrested by the police in Benin City while engaging in an amorous same-sex act with a female accomplice.
