…As Gombe Governor Reiterates Commitment to Purposeful Leadership

Ahead of this Saturday’s Governorship and State Assembly elections, thousands of residents of Tunfure community; a thriving suburb of the Gombe metropolis, earlier today paid a solidarity visit to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, declaring their total support for his reelection bid.

According to a press release on Thursday, 16th March 2023 signed by the Director-General (Press Affairs) of Gombe Government House, Ismaila Uba Misilli, said that the Banquet Hall of the Government House was filled to the brim with youths, women, and the elderly who were there to thank the Governor for addressing the perennial water scarcity, awarding road contracts and providing other interventions in their area.

Speaking in order of representation, the leader of the elders’ forum in the community, Alhaji Yelwa said they were at the government House to express their gratitude to Governor Inuwa for standing by the people of Tunfure, and to assure him of their bulk vote in this Saturday’s Governorship and State Assembly elections.

In the same vain, the representative of women groups, Ladidi Mega explained that the provision of drinking water and the award of road contracts in the area presupposes that all men and women desirous of incremental development must vote for Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for continuity and consolidation.

Also speaking the representative of the youths, Usman Shongo lauded the Governor for his administrative ingenuity without which he said, the progress so far recorded in the state will remain a mirage.

Responding, Governor Inuwa Yahaya thanked the people of Tunfure for the solidarity visit, assuring them of better days ahead if they stand in solidarity with the All Progressives Congress, APC.

He said the multi-billion naira water and road projects being executed in Tunfure are a clear testament to his administration’s commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy to the doorsteps of the people.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya reminded the people not to fall to the fruitless antics of the opposition parties in the state but to remain true to the APC cause whose track record is visible for everyone to see and touch.

He said his administration remains committed to the common good of the people of the state and will therefore maintain the same for the shared prosperity of all.

To this end, the Governor announced a cash donation of 5 million naira, to the visiting members of the Tunfure community as well as 300 hundred pieces of wrappers for the women and another 300 pieces of shedding materials for the men.

Other gift items to the visiting Tunfure community include one hundred bags of maize and one thousand cartons of pasta, etc.

Earlier in an address of welcome, the member representing Akko Federal Constituency Usman Bello Kumo enjoined the people of Tunfure to vote for Governor Inuwa Yahaya given his incredible performance within and outside their community.

He said the Governor has consistently displayed courage and unwavering commitment toward the advancement of the social, economic, and infrastructural development of Gombe State.
