Vote-For-Cash Message: It’s Not Coming From Us – Labour Party PCC

The Labour Party Presidential Campaign Organization has denied a social media “vote-for-cash” solicitation.

According to a press release issued on Sunday, November 6, 2022, by the Deputy Director General/Campaign Manager, Labour Party Presidential Campaign Organization, Oseloka Obaze, the campaign organisation rejects this “pay-for-vote” ploy.

“It is not from us and is not authorized by us.

“We are a responsible organization committed to rooting out corruption and entrenching decency and transparency in the public and private of Nigerians and thus cannot engage in such unseemly action.

“The Nigerian public is by this notice advised disregarding this caper as it will tarnish the electoral process and call to question the unimpeachable integrity of our presidential and vice presidential candidates.

Recall a WhatsApp message was spreading, urging that individuals share their phone numbers and account information in exchange for free money to vote for the Labour Party.

The message stated that each student would receive N100,000, businesses would receive N150,000, and farmers would receive N200,000, with a contact, Mr Jude Adoye of 09167865431, linked to the message as a contact person.
