The Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC has insisted that it has about 1.6 billion litres of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, otherwise known as petroleum.
The Group Managing-Director, GMD of the NNPC, Mele Kyari, disposed this at an Extraordinary Annual General Meeting of Association of Distributors and Transporters of Petroleum Products, ADITOP, held at NAF Conference Centre in Abuja on Thursday.
Mallam Kyari, who is the Special Guest of Honor and represented by Group Executives Downstream, Engr. Adeyemi Adetunji said NNPC had enough petroleum for consumption of Nigerians, calling on ADITOP to ensure steady supply of the product across the nation.
On his part, the State Minister of Petroleum Resources, Timpre Sylva, represented by Mr Famous Eseduwo, Director Human Resources, expressed delight with the meeting.
He assured to work in tandem with ADITOP in a bid to end fuel crisis in the country.
Earlier, the National President of ADITOP, Alhaji Lawan Dan-Zaki, assured NNPC of the association’s unflinching support and cooperation.Â
He also assure steady supply of the product to every nook and crannies in the country, commending NNPC for the supply of enough product into the country.
Dan-Zaki also called on stakeholders in the oil industry, such as NNPC, PPMC, IPMAN, among others to cooperate in order to provide lasting solution to the fuel crisis in the country.
