….. Says the relationship between Egbetokun and Galandanchi is very cordial
The Integrity Youth Alliance, an organisation that has been monitoring the development trends in the Nigeria Police Force for over 15 years, has said there is no mutiny looming in the Nigeria police and there is no clash between IGP Egbetokun and DIG Galandanchi over a 2-year extension request, as made believed by Sahara Reporters.
Reacting to a publication on Friday, February 7th, 2025, by the well-known blackmailer, Sahara Reporters, the Alliance Director of Publicity, Danjuma Lamido, said that the so-called “mutiny” is a figment of the publisher’s imagination, as no mutiny is brewing within the Nigeria Police Force.
“We wondered what Sahara Reporters wanted to gain with its constant fake news. This publication on mutiny and clash between IGP Egbetokun and DIG Galandanchi is false and an attempt to create fractions and heat the polity, Danjuma Lamido said.
He further said that there is no record to show that over 200 senior officers are refusing to retire despite being found to have falsified their birth records.
“The mutiny and clash Sahara Reporters published was just a figment of their imagination.
“We make bold to say that there is no tension between the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, and the Deputy Inspector General of the Federal Investigation Department, Dasuki Galandanchi. The relationship between Egbetokun and Galandanchi is very cordial, so we wondered where the serial deceit Sahara Reporters got its report from.
The statement concluded, “The decision of the Police Service Commission will be diligently implemented by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun. Therefore, we call on Sahara Reporters and its publisher, Omoyele Sowore, to stop toying with policing in Nigeria or else face the consequences of his fake news.”
