The Integrity Youth Alliance has condemned the statement aired on News Central TV and credited to the sputter-politician Omoyele Sowore on the person of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun.
On Friday, April 11, 2025, a press release signed by Danjuma Lamido, the Publicity Director of the Alliance, stated that individuals who are unhappy with the Nigeria Police Acts of 2020 (as amended) should seek legal recourse through the court system instead of engaging in misleading media activities.
“We are not really surprised that Sowore has shifted his drivel activities to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, as he has failed to cash out with the Take It Back Movement’s baseless and woefully failed protest of 7th April 2025 across the country, Lamido said.
“We can assure Nigerians and the international community that the 2027 general election will be fair and credible under the present Inspector General of Police, IGP Egbetokun
“All the rabble-rousing of Omoyele Sowore will surely come to nothing as he will continue to fail any election he might contest because Nigerians don’t need a hellion as elected President of Nigeria, Danjuma said.
