Zamfara CP Visits Emir Of Anka

……Seeks Support, Collaboration To Fight Insecurity

Zamfara State Commissioner of Police, Kolo Yusuf on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Anka, and Chairman, Zamfara State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Attahiru Mohammed Ahmad at his palace in Anka, in a move to end the lingering security challenges and strengthen the community policing strategy in fighting all form of criminal activities in Zamfara State.

The visit, according to the command’s spokesman, SP Mohammed Shehu, was for the police commissioner’s familiarisation with traditional rulers who are part of the major stakeholders combating the activities of criminal elements across the state.

The visit was also for effective service delivery, the PPRO said.

At the Emir’s palace, the Commissioner of Police appreciated the monarch for his unalloyed support and collaboration with the police and other security agencies, assuring him of the Command’s commitment to ending the lingering security challenges bedeviling the state for over a decade.

On his part, the Emir of Zamfara commended the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba Alkali, for posting CP Yusuf to Zamfara, saying that his track records had been testified by all.

The Emir pledged more support for and cooperation with the police commissioner and all the security agencies by extension, to enable them to achieve the mandate of safeguarding the lives and property of the citizens.

The Commissioner of Police was accompanied by the DC Operations, Dauda Mamman, Commanding Officers 42/78 PMF Squadrons, and Commander CTU Base 18 Gusau, among others.
