120,000 Out-Of-School Children Back In Classrooms – BESDA

The Gombe State Coordinator, Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA), Mr Mohammed Bappah, on Thursday, said 120,000 out-of-school-children have been brought back to classrooms in the state.

Bappah said the report by the National Education Data Survey which scored the state low in the enrollment of out-of-school children was empty and without scientific evidence.

He said the report was deliberately leaked to score a political point.

“The present administration of Governor Inuwa Yahaya, through the BESDA has done well in enrolling about 120,000 out-of-school children in the state since BESDA was launch about a year ago,” Bappah said.

He added that the NEDS report was compiled without the input of BESDA in the state, hence the glaring contradiction of figures on both the chart and table.

He said states like Oyo and Jigawa that had not started implementing the BESDA project were also captured in the report.
