The Zamfara State Commissioner of Police, CP Kolo Yusuf on Saturday led police tactical operatives to Kotorkoshi – Yandoto – Tsafe axis, on a mop up operation as part of the strategy in beefing up security in all the nooks and crannies of the state before, during and after the 2023 general elections.
According to a press release signed by the Zamfara State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Mohammed Shehu, said that the Commissioner of Police assured the general public especially people of Zamfara State that security agencies and other stakeholders recognized to play a role in the elections are jointly working in synergy to ensure smooth conduct of the elections.
To further strengthen the existing security emplacement, CP Kolo Yusuf directed Area Commanders and Divisional Police officers (DPOs) to adopt same initiatives in their respective jurisdictions, calling on members of the public to continue to partner with the Police and other security agencies to make the state conducive for free, fair and peaceful elections.
