2023 Presidency: Oshiomhole Goofed Real Time, Suffering From Dementia – Obidient Movement

3 min read

The #ObidientMove has responded to a news item that appeared in the Nigerian Tribune on September 18, 2023, with the headline 2023: Oshiomhole: Peter Obi Lacks Capacity To Address Security Issues

According to the #ObidientMovement, the immediate reaction was to simply ignore the disgraced former national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as his submissions are not worthy of a response.

The Movement said however since there is the legal dictum in Nigeria that issues or evidence not discountenanced are deemed admitted, we wish to educate Oshiomhole as follows:

The statement reads, “First, we would direct him to put up a call to the then Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Abubakar, and then Service Chiefs at the time so he can refresh his memory on how Peter Obi methodically and systematically quelled the Gestapo situation he met as governor under control within a jiffy.

“Oshiomhole should recall that Obi inherited a state where Gestapo elements had laid siege on every segment of the state like an orangutan, emasculating whatever they can sight or lay hands on, including making life extremely miserable for the residents of the state.

“But, Obi, with dexterity and tenacity of purpose, quickly liaised with relevant stakeholders and security agencies and routed out criminal elements that once gave the state a bad name.

“Oshiomhole may have forgotten that Obi garnered several laurels as Best Governor of the Year in terms of Security and several other laurels, and remained admired by his colleague governors that despite being the only governor of an opposition political party with only one state, he was made the Deputy Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum and Chairman of the South-East Governors Forum, at a time he was the only governor from his party anywhere else in the federation.

“We wish to remind Oshiomhole that Obi is focused on what is driving him to seek Nigerians’ support for the presidency. He has not acquired any traits of dementia, and nor is he emasculated by spasmodic tendencies or frailties akin to Oshiomhole’s principals. Peter Obi has shown the capacity and ability to shepherd Nigeria out of its current quagmire and is not mincing words that he knows where the shoes are punching. He is not pushed by Emiilokan tendencies, nor popped by ethnic or tribal sentiments. Obi is a quintessential gentleman whose ideas have come. His followers are Nigerians who are convinced he holds the apple cart, not hirelings who are moved by what the former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose describes as stomach infrastructure.

“We would also like Oshiomhole to etch in his mind that, unlike his ilk whose sources of wealth have remained opaque, Obi has discernible and verifiable sources of wealth. Otherwise, can Oshiomhole please tell Nigerians how he made billions of Naira to build his controversial Iyamho castles?

“As the Bible tells us in the Book of Proverbs 3: 32-33 “the perverse man is an abomination to the Lord, but the upright is in his confidence. The Lord’s curse is on the house of the wicked, but he blesses the abode of the righteous”. Peter Obi is blessed; the converse is the case for Oshiomhole. No amount of smear campaign can bring Obi down.

“We say to Mr. Peter Obi as stated in the Book of Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father”. Continue the good works, Nigerians are not blind; they can see and they appreciate there is no difference between six and half a dozen.

“We finally admonish Oshiomhole, as a Catholic, to immediately rush to the nearest Catholic Rectory, see a Priest, confess his sins and promise God not to transgress again, otherwise, we pray God to have mercy on him. But Oshiomhole should remember that those who crave to remain in pig-like pens are only desirous for who to smear with mud. Peter Obi is not available. Oshiomhole is therefore advised to look the other way.
