Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya is set to receive a distinguished award for excellence in governance.
According to a press release on Friday, 5th June 2024 signed by the Director-General (Press Affairs) Gombe Government House, Ismaila Uba Misilli, said that the award will be presented to the Governor by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR during the 2024 Nigeria Excellence Awards in Public Service (NEAPS) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja tomorrow, Saturday, 6th July, 2024.
Inuwa Yahaya will be honoured as the best performing Governor in Governance, Health Sector, in recognition of his significant contributions to healthcare development in the state.
He was nominated for this prestigious award by the Presidency through the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), in collaboration with a reputable outfit, Best Strategic Media (BSM).
The nomination was officially conveyed to the Governor by the Permanent Secretary, General Services Office, Dr. Nnamdi Maurice Mbaeri, on behalf of the SGF, Sen. George Akume.
Recall that since assuming office in 2019, Governor Inuwa Yahaya has made healthcare sector a top priority, leading to significant improvements in both infrastructure and services across Gombe State.
His commitment to transforming the healthcare sector has not only improved the overall health indicators of the state but has also set a benchmark for other states to follow. The Governor’s leadership and vision have ensured that the people have access to high-quality healthcare services across the nooks and crannies of the State.
