2nd Day Anniversary Tour: Engineer Sule Solicits For Guidance At Etsu Karu Palace

In continuation of his meet-the-people tour across the state, Nasarawa State governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, has sought for advice from traditional rulers, on how his administration, could perform better.

Engineer Sule made the call at the palace of the Etsu Karu, HRH Pharmacist Luka Panya Baba, in Karu, on Thursday.

The governor pointed out that he is on the tour not to speak but to listen, urging the traditional ruler to point the way forward in order for the administration to correct possible mistakes during the past two years.

The governor said there is no place to start the meet-the-people tour than at the palaces of traditional rulers, who stood firm and supported the immediate past administration of Senator Umaru Tanko Al-makura, while extending similar gesture to his administration.

Engineer Sule explained that he ought to have embarked on the tour shortly after assuming office but for the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the governor, his administration is focusing on Karu Local Government Area, because of its strategic significance in the state government’s policy thrust on industrialization, urbanisation, as well as the creation of employment opportunities.

Engineer Sule commended the Etsu Karu, for his open heart and for being accommodative, which explains Karu’s cosmopolitan nature, with various ethic groups coexisting peacefully with one another.

Responding, the Etsu Karu, HRH Pharmacist Luka Panya Baba, while welcoming the governor, said Engineer Sule has so far delivered many development projects, out of the promise he made while seeking to become governor.

The royal father described as remarkable and unprecedented, for the governor to embark on a meet-the-people tour, midway into his four-year first term.

He stressed that Engineer Sule has the interest of the people at heart, fueled by his experience and zeal to bring much needed physical, as well as other aspects of development to the state.

Earlier, in a welcome address, Karu Local Government Area Chairman, Hon. Samuel Akala, noted that because Engineer Sule enjoys popular vote across the 13 local government areas of the state, elected officials are finding it easy to effectively discharge their responsibilities.
