9mobile Commends Pantami’s Visionary Leadership

The Chief Executive Officer, 9mobile, Mr Alan Sinfield has commended the Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami for the role he played in ensuring Telecom Infrastructures were declared as Critical National Infrastructure; Addressing the Right of Way (RoW) challenges that have been lingering for over a decade and securing the Transfer of the National Identity Management Commission under the supervision of the Ministry.

Mr Sinfield also pledged the commitment of 9mobile to key into the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy for a Digital Nigeria.

The 9mobile CEO made this known today when he led a delegation from the telecom company to formally introduce himself to the Honourable Minister and also communicate the strategic plan of the company.

In his brief remarks, the Honourable Minister, Dr Pantami appreciated the applauds and also reiterated the Federal Government’s position to provide an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.

Emerging Markets Telecommunication Services Ltd. (EMTS), trading as ‘9mobile, is a Nigerian private limited liability company. EMTS acquired a Unified Access Service License from the Nigerian Communications Commission in 2007. The License enables EMTS provide Fixed Telephony (wired or wireless), Digital Mobile Services, International Gateway Services and National/Regional Long Distance Services in addition to spectrum assignments in the 900 and 1800 MHz bands.

With a recent name change and rebranding in July 2017, the company launched its new brand identity – 9mobile, with an unveiling of the new name and logo. The new brand identity reflects the bold and creative attributes which we share with our valued subscribers especially the vibrant youth segment.
