Governor Inuwa Yahaya Mourns Gombe Islamic Cleric, Khalifa Sheikh Kobuwa

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has expressed deep suddenness over the demise of a renowned Islamic scholar and a spiritual leader of Tijjaniyya in Gombe State, Khalifa Sheikh Muhammadu Kobuwa, who died today Friday in Gombe.

In a statement on Friday, 9th February 2024 signed by the Director-General (Press Affairs) Gombe Government House, Ismaila Uba Misilli, said that Governor Inuwa described the deceased as a truly remarkable Islamic cleric and a strong pillar of Tijjaniya who devoted his entire life to the service of Allah and the propagation of the ideals, personality, traits and character of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

“Sheikh Muhammadu Kobuwa’s impact on the hearts of the people, especially the Tijjaniyya followers, is truly indelible. His guidance and teachings have been a source of inspiration for many”.

“His death is a huge loss, not just for Gombe State, but the entire country. It is my hope that his legacy of goodness and wisdom will be sustained by those he left behind, continuing to inspire generations to come”.

Governor Inuwa extends his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, members of Fiyanul Islam, the Tijjaniyya community, and the Muslim Ummah as a whole.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to shower his soul with Rahma (mercy) and reward his good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus.
