Bayelsa Ekeremoh Unity Forum said its attention has been drawn to a Federal Government Intervention Program and Survival Fund 2020.
The Statement read, “This is an initiative by the Federal Government to further cushion the impact of the COVID on its citizenry.
“The people of Bayelsa West Senatorial District and Bayelsa at large must not in any way be deceived and made to believe that it is a political favour being done by certain APC actors.
“It is quite unfortunate to note that instead of leaving it open for all to participate, acknowledging that it is the right of the citizens to benefit from whatever scheme the federal government promotes irrespective of party affiliation, the reverse is the case
“Bayelsa West must resist any attempt by the APC to use this scheme as a political favour or a means to sway them from their resolve.
“The scheme is our right.
“The good people of Bayelsa West unanimously resist any attempt to politicize such programs.
“It has been the practice of the APC over the years, to politicize such noble initiatives thereby defeating the aim.
“APC is not on ground in Bayelsa West Senatorial District. The people are united and have unanimously decided to maintain the zoning agreement. No desperate and fraudulent attempt to sway the people in any form or guise will work.
“The good people of Bayelsa West Senatorial district will as a matter of their right, participate and benefit from any scheme initiated by the federal government.
