Adeleke Receives Report Of Transition Committee, Says Good Governance Is At The Door

Oyetola is Behaving Like Donald Trump-Transition Committee Chairman

The Governor-Elect of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke received the report of his Transition Committee, exactly a month before his swearing-in as the next governor of Osun state on November 27th.

In a ceremony attended by members of the Transition Committee chaired by Dr. Muyiwa Oladimeji, the Governor-elect in a speech interspersed with applause described the committee members as ‘wonderful patriots’ who produced results even when the outgoing government refused to cooperate.

“As you submit your report today, I will study it critically and ensure full implementation once we assume office. I am at a glance impressed that your committee built on my five-point agenda. From workers’ welfare to infrastructure, education, health, agriculture, women, youth, security, information technology,
the environment and state economy, we are set to deliver on our electoral promises.

“Let me re-assure people of Osun state. Good governance is on the way. Responsible and responsive leadership is here. Transparency and accountability are knocking at the door. I will be a true people’s governor all the time.

“To the outgoing government, I condemn the deliberate efforts to destabilize the state and its governance assets. It is sad that someone who is entrusted with leadership, Governor Oyetola, has chosen the path of bobby-trapping state structures to make Osun ungovernable. From padding state payroll to multiple engagements outside the due process, the collective assets and treasury of Osun state are being distorted, diverted, and mortgaged for selfish political and private interests.

“The oath of office for all leaders is to serve within the confine of the law and public interest. No leader takes an oath to plunder the state. I make a vow to the people of Osun state that none of the ongoing illegalities will stand under my leadership. We are compiling the long list of infractions committed in the dying minutes of the APC government. Through appropriate channels and platforms, normalcy will be enforced within the ministries, agencies, and parastatals.

“Our administration will be accountable to the good people of Osun state and we will ensure that we do not fault on the trust reposed in us”, Senator Adeleke stated.

Speaking earlier, the Transition Committee Chairman, Dr. Oladimeji lambasted Governor Oyetola for behaving like former American President, Donald Trump, warning that no amount of intransigence will stop the take over the state by Senator Ademola Adeleke on November 27th.

Noting that the committee report was a rigorous elaboration of the five-point agenda, Dr. Oladimeji affirmed that Osun people have voted for a new leader, chiding the outgoing administration that no Trump will be allowed to derail the transition of power come November 27th.

Also speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Special Technical Committee, Dr. Kingsley Akinroye described the committee work as “a credible roadmap to a fast-tracked development of Osun state”

According to him, the report garnered facts, figures, and status quo review from within and outside the government, commending the direct involvement of the Governor-elect in the processes leading to the compilation, analysis, and documentation of the report.

Several leaders and members of the Transition Committee such as Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye, Hon Sunday Bisi, Rev Bunmi Jenyo, Otunba Femi Carena, Elder Peter Babalola, Hon Kolapo Alimi, Sir Adekunle Adepoju, and others were present at the occasion.
