The Publisher of Swift Reporters and an ACCI Policy Centre Energy Fellow, Adewole Kehinde has congratulated the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Mal. Mele Kolo Kyari, on the conferment of an Honorary Doctorate Degree on him by the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi.
Kyari was given the Honour at the University’s 23rd-25th combined Convocation Ceremony held on Saturday.
Also honoured were the Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, H.E Timipre Sylva, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, H.E Murtala Nyako, former Governor of Adamawa State, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, Governor of the Central Bank Of Nigeria.
Adewole said the Honorary Degree conferred on Mal Mele Kyari was testament to his commitment to nation-building and upliftment of humanity through the Gas and Oil Industry.
The Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi (FUAM) established on 1st of January, 1988 had evolved from the defunct Federal University of Technology which was established in 1980 and later became the Makurdi campus of the University of Jos (UniJos) in October, 1980.
