Constituents Berate Senator Uche Ekwunife Over South East Presidential Candidate’s Visit

In a strange twist, constituents from the 7 Local Government Areas under the Senatorial District of Senator Uche Ekwunife have come out to express their grievances against the Senator representing Anambra Central. The constituents accused the Senator of sleaze over funds meant for their welfare and transportation to and fro the just concluded visit of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in Enugu state.

Speaking to newsmen, one of the constituents who pleaded anonymity lamented how Senator Ekwunife took N700,000 meant for their transportation.

His comments read thus ;

“Senator Uche Ekwunife, how can you bring out your supporters from the seven local governments under you to boost your image in Enugu, money given to them to share at the event (Atiku’s Visit to South East) you took seven hundred thousand naira (N700,000) from the money and claimed you paid one hundred thousand naira (N100,000) for each local government area for transport. Did they go to Enugu to represent who?

“Your penchant to always want to keep impoverishing people, taking undue advantage of people is a known fact amongst Anambra people. Look at how petty you are.

“You get contracts from the government Agencies for your constituents and award the contracts at peanut. Most of the people that got the contracts did not break even, some are still owing.

“This is one of the reasons you want Chief Ndubuisi Nwobu aka Ogbuka back as State Chairman for the PDP because you used him to steal thirty-eight million naira (N38,000,000) of PDP in June 2022.

“Again in Enugu, you instructed them to give Mr Ndubuisi Nwobu aka Ogbuka five million naira (N5,000,000) meant for Anambra people, so that both of you will write it off.

“This is the reason why you are fighting seriously to bring him back as Party Chairman.

“Senator Uche meru owes every (have mercy on yourself).

All efforts to reach the Senator for her response proved abortive as her phone lines were switched off at press time.
