CP Ahmed Ammani Attends Enugu Interagency Consultative Committee On Election Security1 min read
The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Ahmed Ammani, fdc, his Co-Chair of the State’s Interagency Consultative Committee on Election Security (ICCES) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC’s) Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in the State, Dr. Chukwuemeka Chukwu, and Heads of Security Agencies, today, 18th January 2023, held the ICCES Meeting at the State’s Headquarters of INEC.
The Committee, among other things, deliberated on the recently thwarted attack on INEC Office in Enugu South LGA and resolved to remain focused and put in place measures to forestall reoccurrence. They vowed to fish out the assailants.
The Meeting was adjourned to a later date, with the Committee reassuring the good people of Enugu State, Nigerians, and other election Stakeholders, of the INEC and the security agencies’ preparedness to ensure the actualization of a hitch-free, fair, credible, and acceptable elections into national and state political offices, come 25th February and 11th March 2023.
