CP Bala Ciroma Pledges Commitment To Foster Community Policing And Collaboration With Sister Security Agencies

The Commissioner of Police FCT Command, CP Bala Ciroma has pledged his Command commitment to foster Community Policing and collaboration with sister Security Agencies in the FCT.

He made this pledge on Wednesday, 17th February, 2021 during a press briefing at the FCT Command.

He said with deployment of One-Hundred and Fifty personnel consisting of operatives from the Police Mobile Force, Counter Terrorism Unit and Special Forces to the Federal Capital Territory by the Inspector-General of Police, will reinforce the on-going counter kidnapping operations.

“The deployment will strengthen security, dismantle and dislodge all criminal hideouts especially kidnappers’ camp within the FCT, CP Ciroma said.

He reiterated that the Command will anchor on this operation to foster community policing and collaboration with sister security agencies. Hence, he charged all personnel deployed within the FCT to be professional, firm, dedicated, civil with law-abiding citizens and ruthless to all criminal elements.

CP Ciroma used the occasion to reassure FCT residents of the Command’s unwavering commitment towards the protection of lives and property within the Federal Capital Territory.

He also expressed his profound gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu and the Minister of the FCT, Mallam Muhammed Musa Bello for their unflinching support towards the FCT Command.

It would be recalled that two days ago, the Inspector-General of Police IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adam launched a strategic operation (Operation Puff Adder II) involving the deployment of human and operational assets to address the emerging security challenges and rid the Country of criminal elements.
