…caution citizens on buying plots that’ll cause lands dispute
The Director-General of Gombe Geographic Information Systems (GOGIS), Dr Kabiru Usman Hassan alongside the Special Adviser to the Governor of Gombe on Development Control, Air Commander (Rtd) Peter Bilal have earlier visited Gona-Kalshingi New Bypass in Akko Local Government, to checkmate the illegal activities of sale of plots of Lands in the area.
This followed after receiving complaints about the new lands littered with beacons on some portion, which “the complainants believed are done without proper authorization”.
In line with His Excellency, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s new land administration, and determination to revitalize land management, the Director-General reiterated the Governor’s commitment to eradicate corruption and all forms of lands mismanagement which most times results in land dispute in the state.
Therefore, the area is now under the scrutiny of the relevant authority, efforts have already been made to ascertain the true state of what transpired.
The general public is hereby strongly advised to always be wary of involvement of lands transactions in some locations, which after some time could eventually cause lands dispute.
