DG GOGIS Sets N50million Revenue Target In March

…warns staff against lands transactions
…charges them to be punctual, discipline

Earlier this morning at the Agency’s corporate office in Gombe, the Director-General of Gombe Geographic Information Systems (GOGIS), Dr Kabiru Usman Hassan has tasked the staff of the Agency to put more effort to improve the revenue generation for March 2021.

He says while acknowledging the significant improvement In February 2021, he commended the officers for the role they played to ensure the vision of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya in revitalizing the land administration is being actualized in the state.

The Director-General has therefore set them a new target to generate fifty (50) million Naira for March 2021 from the various services rendered by the Agency.

He also said that the new land administration in Gombe state, under his directorship, will not under whatever disguise tolerate officers of the Agency serving as an agent(s) for land transactions between citizens.

He further added, as a civil servant, it’s against the civil service rule to indulge himself/herself in any lands-related dealings for wealth accumulation.

He stressed that such behavior is what usually brought corruption and lack of efficiency of the service to the Government MDAs, especially lands administration Agencies.

However, to renew their commitment to civil service and to render effective land administration, the Director-General charged staff to be punctual and disciplined in the course of discharging their duties.

He says the Agency will support them to build their capacity, to continue giving their best in land administration. But that won’t be achieved until they get rid of lack of discipline, punctuality, and delay in service delivery.

He emphasizes the importance of integrity, hard work, and commitment to duty as the bedrock for the success of every organization.
