The Director General National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mustapha Habib Ahmed has condoled with Vice President Kashim Shettima over the passing of his stepmother, Hajja Hauwa Abba Kormi.
Ahmed who led the management of NEMA on a condolence visit to the family house of the Vice President in Maiduguri described the passing of Hajja Hauwa as a great loss to the family of the number two citizen, his immediate family as well as NEMA.
He prays that God will forgive her shortcomings, and comfort the Vice President and members of the family.
The Director General NEMA was received by a member of the Vice President’s family, Alhaji Shettima Mohammed Shettima who appreciated the team for the condolence visit.
Among the members of the NEMA management team were the Director of Disaster Planning Research and Forecasting Dr Onimode Bandele Abdullahi, Director of Relief and Rehabilitation Alh Adamu Abdullahi Usur, Special Assistant to the DG Mr Idris Abubakar Mohammed, Director of North East Zone Alhaji Suleiman Yakubu and others.
Recall that Hajja Hauwa, the stepmother of the Vice President passed away on Thursday 1st February 2024 and was buried last weekend by Islamic rites.
