EID-EL FITR; Police Commissioner Assures Continued Efforts To Improve Public Safety And Security In Bauchi

The Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, CP Aminu Alhassan has assured the good people of Bauchi State of sustained efforts by the Command in fighting crime and criminality and performing its statutory responsibility of protecting of lives and property of citizens in the State before, during and after the Eid-El Fitr celebration.

According to a press release on Thursday, 20th April 2023 signed by the Bauchi State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, said that the Command will collaborate with other relevant Security Agencies and all critical stakeholders to ensure that the celebration is peaceful and hitch-free.

To this end, the Police Commissioner has ordered the deployment of adequate officers and Men comprising Conventional Police-men and other Tactical Teams of the Command as well as necessary logistics to all praying grounds and venues of events in the State.

Wakil said that personnel deployed for this critical assignment are under the strict instruction of the Commissioner of Police to be professional and mindful of the fundamental rights of the citizens and discharge their responsibilities with all humility, decorum and alertness.

“Visibility policing structures are put in place while patrols, particularly around residential areas, major highways, and Government/private infrastructures.

“Furthermore, the Command is prepared to deal with hoodlums, political thugs and other disgruntled elements that may attempt to cause a breakdown of law and order before during and after the festive period.

“Finally, the CP wishes to extend his warm greetings to all Muslim faithful and other citizens in the state as they celebrate EID-EL-FITR and enjoins them to cooperate with police and other relevant security agencies in their efforts towards ensuring peaceful celebrations while urging them to report any suspicious person or object to the nearest Police Station or call the Command emergency phone numbers; 08151849417, 09053872273, the statement concluded.
