The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Ahmed Ammani on Monday received the newly posted Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Enugu State Command, Mr. Mohammed Saleh Dada, who paid him a courtesy and familiarization visit in his Office at the State Headquarters, G.R.A., Enugu.

During the visit, the CP said, “We have the common goals of maintaining law and order and ensuring public security and safety of the good people of Enugu State and Nigerians in general. Hence, we’ve no choice, but to keep collaborating towards actualizing these national goals, especially in the face of the General Elections that are around the corner.”

CP Ammani noted that collaboration has become more necessary given the contemporary security challenges in the country.

The Commandant, while informing the CP that the visit was to formally familiarize themselves with him, solicited the continued collaboration and robust working relationship between the Police and the Corps in State, noting that it is only by so doing that the National Security mandates of the Agencies can be actualized.

Joining the Commissioner to welcome and interact with the Commandant and his team, were members of the Command’s Management Team (CMT), including the Deputy Commissioners of Police in charge of the Department of Operations, the State CID, and the Department of Finance and Administration, DCP Olasoji Akinbayo, DCP Fidelis Ogarabe, and DCP Peter Ezebuike respectively; as well as other Staff Officers of the Command.
