The Enugu Police Commissioners, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu on Thursday, 26th October 2023 received the Chief Fire Officer (CFO) of Enugu State Fire Service, Engr. Okwudiri Daniel Ohaa, in his office at the State Headquarters, GRA Enugu.
During the visit, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu said, “Your core duty of ensuring the safety of human lives and property through firefighting is such that it is very crucial to our policing duties. It is, therefore, important to state that we have to always do everything humanly possible to maintain a close and cordial working relationship.
“Hence, I assure you that the existing mutually beneficial synergy between the Police and State Fire Service in Enugu State shall be maintained.
The CFO had earlier informed the CP that he was in his office to formally familiarize and seek the “oiling” of the existing fruitful and cordial working relationship between the State Fire Service and the State Police Command. He noted that, while the working relationship between the Service and the Police is such that is immutable, strengthening the relationship is essential for the collective success of the agencies, hence the visit and solicitation.
The CP was joined by some of his management team members and staff officers of the Command to receive and interact with the Chief Fire Officer and his entourage.
