The FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Haruna G. Garba, has commiserated with the family and friends of the late Deputy Commissioner of Police Training, DCP Gambo Zakari Ya’u.
Swift Reporters reports that the DCP peacefully passed away in the early hours of Wednesday.
Commiserating with families and friends of the late DCP in a statement by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh on Thursday, CP Haruna G. Garba noted that the loss of DCP Gambo Zakari Ya’u is a profound and deeply felt one within the FCT Police Command.
According to the CP, his contributions and dedicated service will be dearly missed,
The statement read: “On behalf of the officers and personnel of the FCT Police Command, the Commissioner of Police, CP Haruna G. Garba, psc, extends heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of the late Deputy Commissioner of Police, Gambo Zakari Ya’u, who peacefully passed away in the early hours of October 11, 2023.Â
“DCP Gambo Zakari Ya’u, a native of Kotangora LGA in Niger State, commenced his distinguished career in the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet Inspector on April 2, 1990. Until his demise, he diligently served in the capacity of Deputy Commissioner of Police Training.
“CP Haruna G. Garba, while offering prayers for the peaceful repose of the departed soul, underscores that the loss of DCP Gambo Zakari Ya’u is a profound and deeply felt one within the FCT Police Command. His contributions and dedicated service will be dearly missed.
