FCT Police Nab 10 Suspected Drug Peddlers

Police operatives from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command’s Karu Divisional Police Headquarters in Abuja have arrested 10 individuals and seized some quantities of illegal substances from the suspects in the Karu neighborhood’s abattoir area.

According to information obtained by Swift Reporters, the arrest was made on September 3, 2022, a Saturday.

Josephine Adeh, the spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, confirmed the incident and added that all suspects had been arrested and charged at the Karu Area Upper Court on Monday, September 5, 2022.

She said, “In compliance with the Commissioner of Police, Sunday Babaji’s zero-tolerance to drug peddling and abuse order, police personnel from Karu division stormed the popular Karu abattoir where 10 suspects were arrested with some quantities of illicit drugs recovered from them. The suspects have been charged to the Karu Area Upper Court on Monday.”

Recalled that Swift Reporters on Saturday, 3rd September 2022 reported how police operatives from the Karu Divisional Police Headquarters of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command on a stop and search arrested a man riding a bike while carrying a heavy sack containing dry leaves, suspected to be Cannabis.
