FCT Security Team Rescues 2 Kidnapped Victims Unhurt

…. As CP FCT assures sustained efforts at improving public safety in the territory

The operatives of the FCT Police Command’s Anti-kidnapping unit, in a joint effort with other security agencies, has rescued two kidnapped victims: namely James Paul and Austin Oba, both male from Kobi Sarki Village, Abuja.

A statement on Tuesday signed by FCT Police Command Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, said that the victims were abducted by kidnappers in the early hours of Monday, 4th December 2023.

The CP noted that the command has witnessed relative peace and a commendable reduction in crime rate in recent times.

He further noted that Police operatives swung into action, upon receipt of the distress call, and trailed the criminals to their hideout, amongst other operational and strategic policing efforts, leading to the successful rescue of the victims.

According to SP Adeh, the victims have since been reunited with their families after being confirmed stabilized by a medical expert.

Meanwhile, CP Haruna G. Garba has called for calm, assuring that this isolation would be investigated and confronted appropriately to ensure any further threat to the lives and property of the resident is mitigated or promptly addressed.

He reiterated the unflinching commitment of the Police and the security community in the State to improving public safety in the FCT and keeping the people safe.

He further urged residents to keep up with prompt rendition of distress calls or complaints to the Police.
