Retired educationist, High Chief Aaron Ponuwei Ebelo, is dead
Chief Ponuwei Ebelo is the father of a prominent journalist, a former Deputy Editor, of The News/Tempo Magazine, and an oil palm plantation farmer, Mr. Goodluck Ebelo.
Chief Ebelo died at the age of 84 after a brief illness in a Benin Hospital on Saturday, April 8, 2023.
He was an accomplished teacher, headmaster, farmer, prominent community leader, and exemplary gentleman.
He is survived by a wife, 12 children, 28 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Goodluck Ebelo, his first son, told The Network that the burial programme is scheduled to take place in the first week of December.
