…..Says I Cannot Recall How Many Times Zaura Supported KNSG, Kano People
The President and Founder of the Kano based Foundation – AA Zaura Foundation, His Excellency Abdussalam Abdulkarim Zaura had donated two number Fire Rescue Vans to Kano State Government as his Contribution to Risk/Fire Disaster Management in the State.
The vans which were handed over to the Kano State Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje were procured at the sum of N261,000,000.00.(Two Hundred and Sixty One Million Naira Only).
Accordingly, the State Governor had handed over the facilities to the State fire service Agency. At the handing over, the founder of the foundation said the intervention was to compliment the Gov. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje led administration’s genuine effort in building the Mega City as well as various efforts at Disaster Management.
“What triggered us to make this donation as a foundation Your Excellency, is believing that government alone cannot make our State stand out as a Sub-National in Nigeria and the zeal as well as love for our state” Zaura said. He said further,
“Much is needless to say Your Excellency on the little effort our foundation is doing in Kano. Risk and Disaster Management cannot be taken with complacency, hence our foundation will continue to make stride efforts at assuaging our peoples’ challenges”. Zaura said.
In his submission, Zaura said, “Your Excellency, on behalf of myself and my foundation, I present to you these facilities as a support and donations to Kano State Government, been and effort at complementing your administration to cushion the effect of fire disaster in any event in Kano, we are not praying for it”.
Responding, the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje said, “The Kano State Government appreciates this gesture and will be conveyed formally to you in a letter. He recounted several scenes where Zaura offered Philanthropic acts to the government and people of Kano State. He thanked Zaura and the Foundation Management
Earlier, the Commissioner for Works and Housing in the state, who also supervises the Ministry of the Fire Agency commended Zaura and assured that the trucks and the Ambulance will be handle with utmost care and professionalism.
Zaura Project correspondent could authoritatively reports that the last time the State Government purchases fire trucks was over 15 years ago until the coming of this administration
It will be recalled that the AA Zaura Foundation had supported APC stalwarts with 50 number vehicle to assuage party activities in the State.
