Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has expressed delight and pride in the reappointment of Prof. Samson Duna as the Director General of the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute (NBRRI) for another four-year term.
According to a press release on Tuesday, 12th November 2024, signed by the Director-General (Press Affairs) Gombe Government House, Ismaila Uba Misilli, the reappointment was approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Prof. Duna, who hails from Billiri Local Government Area, has been serving as the Director General of NBRRI since his initial appointment in 2020.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya described him as an illustrious son of Gombe State and a shining example of commitment to excellence and professionalism. He noted that his vast experience and network have been instrumental in driving forward Nigeria’s infrastructural research and development.
“We are immensely proud of Prof. Duna’s achievements. His reappointment by Mr. President is a validation of his exceptional leadership and commitment to excellence in the engineering profession.
“We are confident that he will continue to make Gombe State and Nigeria proud”, Governor Inuwa Yahaya remarked.
The Governor assured Prof. Duna of the solidarity, support and goodwill of the government and people of Gombe State as he continues in his role.
