Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON has approved the posting of Abubakar Usman as the Permanent Secretary/ Head of the Gombe State Bureau for Public Service Reform (BPSR).
According to a press release on Monday, 16th October 2023 signed by the Director-General (Press Affairs) Gombe Government House, Ismaila Uba Misilli, said that this development was conveyed by the Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Ahmed Kasimu Abdullahi.
Abubakar Hassan, who until now, was Permanent Secretary, of the Ministry of Science and Technology, is mandated to develop innovative ideas to further the Governor’s public service reform agenda aimed at ensuring a robust, functional, professional, focused, and result-oriented public service.
Recall that Governor Inuwa Yahaya had in November 2019, established the BPSR in the state via an Executive Order, with a vision to transform the Gombe public service into an institution of excellence.
He tasked the Gombe BPSR to initiate, coordinate, and ensure the full implementation of government reform policies and programmes, to enhance promoted delivery as well as promote synergy among various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in the state.
