Governor Inuwa Yahaya Intensifies Push For FG’s Intervention In Federal Road Infrastructure

…Works Minister to Visit Gombe this Week

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has again visited the Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, in his office in Abuja.

According to a press release on Monday, 8th July 2024 signed by the Director-General (Press Affairs) Gombe Government House, Ismaila Uba Misilli, said that this latest meeting follows several prior discussions between the Governor and the Works Minister, as part of Inuwa Yahaya’s persistent efforts to get the Federal Government to address the pressing road infrastructure challenges facing Gombe and its neighbouring states, especially on key routes such as Gombe-Bauchi, Gombe-Dukku-Darazo, Gombe-Biu, and Gombe-Bajoga-Potiskum.

These roads, as always emphasized by the Governor, are vital for the economic and social well-being of the people, and their improvement is crucial for regional development and national connectivity.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya, who is also the Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum, believes that his advocacy is in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda which targets improvements in infrastructure to foster economic growth and enhance the quality of life for the citizens.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Works will be paying a working visit to Gombe State this Thursday where he will again meet with Governor Inuwa Yahaya in furtherance of the collaboration between the Federal and State Governments to ensure the successful implementation of critical infrastructure projects across the country.
