Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has expressed sadness over the demise of a renowned educationist and seasoned administrator, Mr.Soni Soji Sule MFR, Wazirin Nyuwar, who died recently in Abuja at the age of 77 years.
Governor Yahaya, in a message of condolence, described the late SS Sule as an excellent teacher, highly respected statesman and illustrious son who mentored a lot of students, especially those from Gombe state during his service years at various institutions of higher learning, including University of Maiduguri where he worked as Deputy Registrar, University of Abuja and Bingham University where he served as Registrar respectively.
He also noted the deceased’s contributions to the development of his community and the state, reminiscing his remarkable and meritorious service years in the old Bauchi state during the military era when at various times he served as commissioner in the ministries of Agriculture, Commerce and Industry as well as Works among others.
“We have indeed lost a man of honour and an illustrious son of Gombe, who spent greater part of his life in the service of God, people and his community, offering guardianship and mentoring upcoming leaders”.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya, conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the wife of the deceased, Dr. Dinatu, members of the family as well as the Nyuwar community in Balanga LGA over the great loss, praying God Almighty to grant him eternal rest.
