Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has approved 500,000 Naira subsidy for each of the 1373 State’s intending Muslim Pilgrims for the upcoming Hajj exercise.
According to a press release on Friday, 5th April 2024 signed by the DG (Press Affairs) Gombe Government House, Ismaila Uba Misilli, said that this decision comes in response to the recent announcement by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) regarding adjustments to the 2024 Hajj fare.
The approval is to mitigate the financial strain on the Gombe State pilgrims facing current economic challenges.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya hopes that this intervention will contribute to a seamless and spiritually enriching Hajj exercise for all pilgrims from Gombe State as well as facilitate a conducive environment for religious activities despite prevailing economic challenges.
