Honourable Adebowale Taiwo (Jante), the aspirant for the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency, has withdrawn his candidacy for Professor Andrew Akinmoladun in the interest of Ipetu-Ijesa and to avoid splitting votes.
According to a press release sent to Swift Reporters by Hon. Taiwo called on patriots in Oriade/Obokun land to do everything constitutionally necessary to support Prof. Akinmoladun and ensure the zone doesn’t lose this golden opportunity.
An excerpt from his press release:
After wide consultation with family, friends, political associates, supporters, concerned elders, and stakeholders on the political events/chances of our people and constituents in the forthcoming Federal House of Representatives election.
I, Honourable Adebowale Taiwo (Jante), in the interest of Ipetu-Ijesa and to avoid splitting votes, wish to withdraw my aspiration for Professor Andrew Akinmoladun.
The desire to represent my people is not born out of desperation, but to contribute my quota to transforming the lives of our people as a bona fide citizen of Ijesa land, to restore the glory of our land, bring development and deliver the dividends of democracy.
Our people must not be left out in the quest for proper political representation, and nothing is too much to sacrifice in the interest of the good and wonderful people of Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency.
To all patriots in Oriade/Obokun land, 2023 ushers us into a new dispensation. Let us do everything constitutionally necessary to support Prof. Akinmoladun and ensure we don’t lose this golden opportunity.
