In continuation of the ongoing process of evacuating Nigerians from war-torn Sudan, 132 Nigerians arrived at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja today at 1:31 p.m.
Tarco Aviation’s flight from Port Sudan conveyed the returnees, who were received at the Hajj Terminal of the airport by the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, Dr. Nasiru Sani Gwarzo, in the company of the Director General, NEMA Mustapha Habib Ahmed, Chairman NIDCOM, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, a representative of the Foreign Affairs Ministry, NCFRMI, and other senior government officials.
Recall that 130 Nigerians, including 128 women and two men, arrived in Abuja on Friday afternoon from Port Sudan.
The second batch of returnees arrived at Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja on board a B737-300 aircraft belonging to TARCO Airlines by 3:45 p.m.
