The Inspector-General of Police has asked corporate organizations for help in modernizing police stations across the country.
The IGP represented by AIG Zone 7, AIG Kayode Egbetokun made the request on Tuesday at the Commissioning of the Divisional Police Headquarters, Mabushi, Abuja
As part of its corporate social responsibility to the community, Stallion Property and Development Company Limited donated the building.
In his opening remarks, the AIG thanked the SPDC and praised its actions as admirable and worthy of imitation by all.
Meanwhile, in his vote of thanks, the FCT Commissioner of Police, Dr. Sadiq Abubakar, urged the officers to put the building to good use and ensure that crime and criminality are kept to a bare minimum in the area while embracing community-based policing, respect for fundamental human rights, and other global best practices.
The CP also assured FCT residents of the command’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that residents sleep with both eyes closed.
He calls on members of the public not to relent in furnishing the police with useful and actionable information relevant to advancing the command’s crusade against crime.
