The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, says that Imo State is safe and secure
He made this known in his address at the closing ceremony of the Conference and Retreat for Senior Police Officers at the Landmark Event Centre in Owerri, the Imo State capital, on Wednesday.
“All the news that Imo State is not secured is mere noise. Imo State is safe, Egbetokun said.
In the past few months, Imo has come under heavy attacks from unknown gunmen who target government establishments such as the police, prisons, and the electoral commission.
