The Kwara State Police Command, in collaboration with other security agencies had successfully ensured the peaceful conduct of the just concluded local government elections across the state.
According to a press release on Sunday, 22nd September 2024 signed by the Kwara State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, through a well-coordinated security operation with other sister agencies, law enforcement personnel were strategically deployed to polling units and key locations, maintaining order throughout the process.
The statement read, “No significant security incidents were reported, and all concerns were addressed promptly, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted voting experience.
“The Commissioner of Police, Kwara State Command, CP Victor Olaiya psc(+) thanks all the security personnel deployed for the L.G election exercise, exhibiting top professionalism and diligence; he also commends members of the public for their cooperation and reaffirms the command’s commitment to continuous safety and security of the state.
