The Integrity Youth Alliance has blasted the Managing Partner, BBH Consulting, Barr. Ameh Madaki over his statement on the reappointment of Mele Kyari as the Group Chief Executive of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited.
According to a statement on Wednesday in Abuja signed by the Alliance Board Chairman, Comrade Adewole Kehinde, he said that it is unfortunate that a so-called oil and gas expert could be so ignorant to say that President Tinubu with his wealth of experience in Mobil Oil, does not know what is happening in the oil and gas sector.
“Being a technocrat with a long history of integrity and commitment to duty in the industry, Mallam Kyari has helped the national oil corporation of the nation compete favourably with its foreign rivals. This is thanks to his position as the head of NNPC’s affairs.
“Kyari’s reappointment on Monday, 27th November 2023 has come as no surprise and is a testament to his exemplary record and exceptional performance over the many years he has worked for NNPC Limited in a variety of strategic roles, Adewole said.
He further called on critics to join hands with the performing NNPC Limited management team under Mal Mele Kyari and make Nigeria a net exporter of petroleum products by next year
