The Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mallam Mele Kyari, on Thursday, visited President Bola Tinubu at his residence in Lagos, in the spirit of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
Speaking with newsmen after paying Sallah homage to the president yesterday in Lagos, kyari said, “He is focused on delivering gas into our domestic and international market. Bringing back prosperity into the country is on course and a task to be delivered, and many obvious things will unfold in the coming week.
“Majority of our exports from this country are petroleum that can earn foreign currency. There is a significant improvement in the market in terms of pricing, and we have also been able to establish some stability in our projects. The combination of these factors is bringing additional resources to our country, and of course, more than anything, there are clear monetary and fiscal policies the president and this government have put in place that are working, and that are bringing about the changes you are seeing in the current market.
He underlined how critical it is to support the president’s goals for the oil and gas industry, which are thought to be essential to Nigeria’s economic development and prosperity.
