NAWOJ National President Calls For More Commitment As Delegates Conference Draw Nearer

The National President of NAWOJ, Mrs Ifeyinwa Omowale has inaugurated the local Organising committee for the forthcoming Delegates conference slated to hold in Minna, the Niger state capital from the 09-11th November, 2020.

Also inaugurated were the sub-committees to ensure a successful outing.

Addressing members of the Niger state chapter before the inauguration, Mrs. Omowale who said NAWOJ, Niger State Chapter will be hosting Delegates conference for the third time in 30 years enjoined the women Journalists to remain committed to ensure that the programme is a huge success.

“We inaugurate you to be in charge of the smooth running of activities during the delegates conference,” she said.

She explained that for the Association to move forward, there was need for respect and team work stressing that the younger colleagues must be encouraged to further strengthen the Association.

The National President also took time to inspect the NAWOJ Secretariat ,Niger State Chapter and commended the State Executives for their efforts.

Omowole urged members of the committee to be committed and dedicated in performing their duties for the success of the conference.

In her remarks, Chairperson of the state Chapter of the Association, Mrs Mary Noel-Berje disclosed that Niger state had accepted to host the 2020 National delegates conference to enable it showcase its rich cultural heritage.

She gave assurance that members would put in their best towards the success of the conference.
