More than 1000 persons mostly women in about 50 Households who were affected by windstorms in Zaria, Kaduna benefited from the Federal Government relief support.
The Zonal Coordinator, NEMA North West Zone, Alhaji Abbani Imam Garki led other staff of the agency in collaboration with officials of SEMA and other delegated authorities of the community distributed the food items to the beneficiaries.
During his remarks, the Zonal Coordinator console the affected persons on their plight and also urged them to utilize and make good use of the items given to them by the federal government.
On his part, the Honourable Member, representing Zaria Federal Constituency on behalf of the beneficiaries commended the agency’s timely response and intervention to persons affected by disasters.
The relief materials distributed to the affected persons consist of food items, building materials and other household needs.
